Congratulations to the Anaheim Ducks and their fans on winning the Stanley Cup!
Just go ahead and schedule the next parking lot celebration now.
There’s no way they won’t win.
Let’s quickly run through the reasons why the Ducks Cup win is inevitable.
The Ducks have already done the impossible: They found a way to beat Ondrej Pavelec.
It’s not every day that a team is able to systematically breakdown one of the greatest goalies the NHL, nay, the world has ever seen.
Anaheim has been able to get pucks by Pavelec and his career .908 save percentage, good for 40th in NHL/WHA history. This puts him in rarefied company, just behind Dwayne Roloson, Jose Theodore and Ducks legend Guy Hebert on the all-time list.
Fredo, Fredo, Fredo, can't you see, sometimes your saves just hypnotize me. Two huge saves from @f_andersen30 on Callahan and Killorn.

Enough said.
Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau has bumped his all-time record in the playoffs to 30-30 31-30 35-31!
It doesn’t matter that he’s never advanced beyond the second round or that his all-time series record is 3-6 4-6 5-6 because by mid-June it will undoubtedly be 7-6!
(EDITORS NOTE: Boudreau’s career playoff record has been updated to reflect the powerhouse Ducks sweep of the Winnipeg Jets and the 4-1 drubbing handed to the Calgary Flames)
Sorry @NHLJets – your flight has been grounded. The #ComebackKids do it again! That's a big 2-1 win! #LetsGoDucks #OurHouseOurTeam

Ducks Social Media Team strikes again with the funnies!
We see the writing on the wall and have decided to embrace the fact that there’s no way the Stanley Cup won’t remain in Southern California this year. So what else could we do?
You’re goddamn right we pooled together $600 to make this bet.
And yes, it’s 100 percent true.
There’s no way the Ducks lose. They are a mortal lock. Frederik Andersen is unbeatable. Ryan Getzlaf is the best captain in the league. No one can out-coach Bruce Boudreau. We may as well save everyone’s time and just hand them the Cup right now.
…is our Reverse Jinx $600 bet enough to appease the Hockey Gods?
Only time will tell.
