TRH RECAP 69: Shutout Snoozefest

KINGS 1, COYOTES 0

Every game feels so colossal this time of year.

Winning feels like an absolute necessity, and losses feel they are the end of the world.

Essentially, there is hardly any joy in watching your team win when they’re fighting for a playoff spot. If they win, good, they were supposed to. If they lose, they are terrible and they just threw their season away.

Isn’t being a sports fan the best?

So when the LA Kings hosted the Arizona Coyotes last night, it was hardly anything to get super excited about. But that doesn’t change how important these two points were for the Kings. Take care of business, and they’ll be right back in a playoff spot.

Unfortunately, for fans, it’s hard to get up for a Monday night game against one of the worst teams in the league.

…especially when there’s only one goal scored in the entire game.

…zzz…

…zzz…

…well that escalated quickly.

…zzz…

…zzz…

Hoo boy what a game!

2. Jonathan Quick

Jonathan Quick 1-0 shutout boop Arizona Coyotes

Another shutout, another shutout boop.
But was it an elite shutout boop?

1. Andy Andreoff

Congrats to Andy Andreoff on his first ever NHL goal!

But I thought it was mean the Kings teased him so much for scoring it on Mike Smith.
