The LA Kings have one last test before heading into the All-Star break. And it’s no easy task as they face-off against arguably their biggest rival in the San Jose Sharks.
It’s actually a pretty big test for both teams as each has struggled throughout the first half of the season. Reality is that neither team is assured a spot in the playoffs, and it’s possible that one or even both could miss the postseason.
So both the Kings and the Sharks are no doubt taking this game very seriously.
And as fans of the respective teams, we should be doing the same…

Oh for the love of…
That’s right, the fine folks at the SAP Center will be treated to a special Metallica Night!
It’s a special evening where fans can briefly pretend their back in the 1980s, which isn’t much different than 2015 if you’re counting Stanley Cup banners.
#NeverForget
So how exactly are people prepping for arguably the biggest night in franchise history?
Wait, ONLY in the building?
hahahahahahaha
That’s right, only two members of Metallica are actually showing up for this momentous occasion. And no, they will not even be performing.
But that, for some reason, doesn’t change how jacked up Sharks fans are getting for what’s likely the biggest event of the year in San Jose.
Sharks better not embarrass themselves like this in front of @Metallica on Wednesday…

Yes. Yes, that is what’s important here.

Man, this night is going to be great.
I really wish I could go to the Sharks game tomorrow night because it is Metallica Night. So jealous of everyone who is going.

I just wish someone saw this night for what it truly is…
it's just Metallica night so Lars gets $$$ from T-shirt sales instead of releasing another shitty album… #sharks #metallica #bullshitevent

Metallica and the Sharks, everyone!
I guess the Metallica and Sharks combination makes sense, though.
What better band to partner with than one that had strong start, fell apart when it looked like they could be an all-time great, and now just basically records the same song over and over again.
