The most important thing you need to know about facing the Flames tonight is that they are totally in the giving spirit right now…
I mean… have you ever seen a better gift than that around Christmas?

Ok, I guess you have.
Since December 4, the Flames are 0-7-1 and have been free-falling from their surprisingly high perch in the Pacific Division. So the LA Kings are obviously going to overlook the Flames tonight because if the Kings are anything like me at work this week–the body is present, but the mind is already in full vacation mode. So the last thing you want to do is face someone with something to prove.
As Stanley Cup Champions, lets hope they have a stronger sense of purpose and focus. I’m not allowed to hit anyone at my job, so perhaps it is not as difficult for them to get excited when they clock-in. Either way it will be the last little bit of Kings hockey for the next four days, so savor it!
Hope the Kings can craft one more win before Christmas.
I wish you all a safe, happy Holiday filled with new memories, time with loved ones and all that other mushy stuff.
