The LA Kings have not been playing well lately …like “losing five of their last six games” bad. Now, to make things even better, they may also be without defensemen Robyn Regehr as he left practice on Friday due to an undisclosed injury. Good thing the Kings have some great depth and nothing could get in the way of a youngster getting called up and helping the big club!
The Kings will not have enough cap space to recall a player from AHL-Manchester in the event that Regehr won't be able to play tomorrow.

Ugh that hurts.
The Kings can't call up a replacement if Regehr can't play. They're $160.00 short of having enough cap room. Seriously.

Oh for the love of…
Alright, so the Kings will (likely) only have five defensemen in the lineup tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.
Great.
So we here at The Royal Half have taken it upon ourselves to change up the mojo and get the Kings back on track.
A big change tonight as @TheRoyalHalf is OUT of the pressbox and yours truly will be IN for his first ever start.
And we’ve also called up another rising blogger vlogger from the farm team! Allow me to introduce @haleboy99!
First, let’s get to know our minor league star: Michael Hale is a video editor in the television/film industry and has been a Kings fan since 1992. Hale has stated that if he one day gets married, has a kid, or even wins an Oscar … it still wont compare to the joy he felt when the Kings won the stanley cup in 2012 and 2014.
Hale is here to show Kings fans everywhere what has happened to the Canucks since the two teams faced off in the first round of the playoffs in 2012. In case you weren’t sure, hilarity ensues.
*SWOON*
All of the glorious emotions.
As created by Jesse Cohen from All The Kings Men Podcast… The Moulson Index™ highlights an opposing player from tonights game who has the opportunity to score against his former employer, the LA Kings.
Tonight’s Moulson Index Spotlight is:
LINDEN VEY, CENTER
This is Linden Vey’s first ever game against the Kings. Before being traded to the Canucks in the offseason, Vey centered Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson both with the Manchester Monarchs and (briefly) the big club. And, trooper that he was, even wore a “7” on his jersey during his days with the Kings.
The last time we saw Vey, the Kings and Canucks all at Staples Center, this happened:
…good Gretzky what have we done…
Anyone have $160 we can borrow?

These are indeed desperate times for the LA Kings…
