After two heartbreaking overtime losses to the LA Kings, it was time for the NY Rangers to regroup and head back home to host their first Stanley Cup Final game since 1994.
The Rangers had all of the opportunities to be ahead or at least tied in this series. Unfortunately for them, they just haven’t been able to hold a two-goal lead.
Seriously. They’ve had four separate two-goal leads in the Final and have zero wins to show for it.
Those missed opportunities now give the Kings a chance to take a seemingly insurmountable lead in the series.
