TRH RECAP 64: THE GIFT OF GAB(ORIK)

KINGS 3, JETS 1

Full disclosure: I’m writing this post from my gate at LAX – yes, that’s right, I’m writing a recap about a Jets game right before stepping on a jet myself (insert joke about Kings stepping all over Winnipeg).

It’s true – I’ve got a ticket to get on the only jet bigger than Byfuglien.  Just kidding, Buff – love ya, big guy.  See you out on the lake this summer.

Speaking of love, where were you on Valentine’s Day this year?

If you were Marian Gaborik, who made his debut last night on the LA Kings’ top line, you were on Twitter.  Calling Cam Atkinson a…

Truly, a fitting day to mark a burgeoning love affair between Gabby and Kings bloggers everywhere.

And so it was that Marian Gaborik made his debut in a Kings sweater against the Winnipeg Jets in the thick of the Canadian tundra.  While he didn’t look amazing, he certainly held his own… depending on who you talk to.

And here it is, your funniest tweet of the game…

And now, I’ve got a jet to catch.

Tufficult out.

As a child, King Tufficult liked to hang out at Iceoplex to watch his dad’s summer skating group that included many gloriously mulleted individuals. Some of the people attached to those mullets played for the early 90′s LA Kings. It was destiny. Since then, King Tufficult is best known for extensively traveling in Europe during the Cup Finals and writing “The Post” after Game 6 of the 2014 WCF.
