HOCKEY HOARDERS: Episode I

No. 1

INITIAL REACTION: 6.5

Why would I want a random guy’s personalized jersey?

Hold on, WHO?!?

USEFULNESS: 6.5

I’m not a fan of wearing jerseys to a game, but I won’t make a big stink about people who wear them (yet).

PRICE: 9.5

ONLY $100?!

VALUE: 9.0

It’s an authentic LA Kings jersey. Can’t really beat that.

STREET CRED: 8.5

THIS IS CRAIG SCHIRA!

“Who is that?” you ask.

Schira was an undrafted defenseman who played with the Kings during the 2006 preseason. Not only did he have three assists (that’s the most information I could find via kingsofhockey.com), but he assisted on what I’m assuming was Anze Kopitar’s last ever powerplay goal (September 8, 2006). So, sure, some fans will have no idea why you’re wearing this jersey, but it would provide a great conversation piece when Craig Schira hands you an order of nachos at the concession stands in between periods.

FINAL SCORE: 40.0

Sigh. No perfect 50 today, but there’s always tomorrow…
