TRH RECAP 64: THE GIFT OF GAB(ORIK)
KINGS 3, JETS 1
Full disclosure: I’m writing this post from my gate at LAX – yes, that’s right, I’m writing a recap about a Jets game right before stepping on a jet myself (insert joke about Kings stepping all over Winnipeg).
It’s true – I’ve got a ticket to get on the only jet bigger than Byfuglien. Just kidding, Buff – love ya, big guy. See you out on the lake this summer.
Speaking of love, where were you on Valentine’s Day this year?
If you were Marian Gaborik, who made his debut last night on the LA Kings’ top line, you were on Twitter. Calling Cam Atkinson a…

Truly, a fitting day to mark a burgeoning love affair between Gabby and Kings bloggers everywhere.
And so it was that Marian Gaborik made his debut in a Kings sweater against the Winnipeg Jets in the thick of the Canadian tundra. While he didn’t look amazing, he certainly held his own… depending on who you talk to.
guy at work was SO excited to tell me the kings got gaborik. like too excited. his words: 'he's now the sidney crosby of the west'. get real

Gaborik's bio on twitter: "Right Wing for LA Kings" *sutter puts him at left wing*
— Erik (@I3lazer) March 6, 2014
Oh yeah, the Kings also played a game last night.
With the addition of Gaborik allowing Jim Fox to speak at length about how every now “slots into the right position” (hey-o!), the Kings controlled much of the action in Winnipeg. Of particular note, I thought, was Mike Richards – his strong play culminating in this absolute blast of a slapshot. Unlike Marty St. Louis, Richards takes out his frustration about the Olympics by pretending Stevie Y’s face is on the back of the twine.
TUFF’S TOP THREE:
Without further ado, let’s look at the MVPs of the Twitter world for this 6th win in a row for LA:
Me: "Hello, gambling help line?" Operator: "Yes, can I help you?" Me: "What's the line on the Kings/Jets game?"

I've spent multiple loonies on jets tickets/liquor & I've only seen 3 wins. However I've now seen Mike Richards go cheddar, so suck it Gill!

And here it is, your funniest tweet of the game…

And now, I’ve got a jet to catch.
