TRH RECAP 57: AW-PHILLY BAD

KINGS 0, FLYERS 2

Another game, another chance to watch the Kings struggle mightily to score. One gets the sense that at this point, they’re just limping toward the Olympic break as though Dustin Brown kneed the team’s morale.

What could have been a fun afternoon game before Tip-A-King, where Carter and Richards had a chance to wish their former team the best, turned into another 2 and a half hours of abject misery. Of course, Wayne Simmonds scored the game-winner, just to punish us Kings fans a little bit more for enjoying some success over the last couple of years.

Let’s get this over with, because I know most of you want to remember this game about as much as you want to remember that your taxes are due.

As a child, King Tufficult liked to hang out at Iceoplex to watch his dad's summer skating group that included many gloriously mulleted individuals. Some of the people attached to those mullets played for the early 90's LA Kings. It was destiny. Since then, King Tufficult has enjoyed such hobbies as: watching his lifelong favorite sports team achieve their first championship in history, being unable to pee at Staples Center if too many people are waiting for his urinal, and "contributing" to The Royal Half.If you're a glutton for punishment, you can follow King Tufficult on Twitter @KingTufficult.
