TRH PINTEREST PACIFIC PREVIEW
Well, we’ve reached the end of TRH’s Pacific Division Preview Week-O-Rama™… and I have to say that it’s been a great success. Everyone on #TeamTRH has submitted a well-written, extremely funny look at the upcoming season in the Pacific Division. And while comparing the Pacific Divison to Game of Thrones or ESPN’s College GameDay will get a chuckle or two from our readers… we here at The Royal Half know that you come to this blog for one thing and one thing only… serious NHL analysis.
So I decided to preview the Pacific Division using one of the most advanced websites in terms of hockey analysis.

By combing through the
pages page of NHL fans that posted photos of themselves with the hashtag “Is It October Yet?” on Pinterest, I’ve been able to predict the final Pacific Division standings for the upcoming 2013-14 NHL Season. It’s the TRH Pinterest Pacific Preview!!!
Normally making the playoffs for 9 straight seasons and winning your division 5 of those years would cause any hockey fan to be happy. But since these are the San Jose Sharks… their fans have to travel to Disneyland to experience any sort of actual joy from June until late September. And let’s be honest… there is a reason the Happiest Place on Earth is in Southern California.
As opposed to all the kids in San Jose and Vancouver… this Halloween lil’ Bobby is dressing as a Stanley Cup Winner.
Without the Northwest Division to propel them to a Presidents Trophy, the Vancouver Canucks soft defense might become exposed in the new Pacific Division. And with Candid Apple Photography, Vancouver Canucks fan Scott Podwinski‘s wedding photos have zero chance of being exposed properly.
A lot of people might think this particular pin is an homage to the Mighty Ducks movies… but this t-shirt actually represents a better Top 6 than the Anaheim Ducks have this season.
Only a resident of Edmonton, Alberta would consider going to the most bleak and isolated place in America a “vacation.” And only an Edmonton Oilers fan would consider Devan Dubnyk a “NHL Goalie.”
Is there any better visual representation for the Phoenix Coyotes 2013-14 Season than their only appearance on a NHL-sponsored Pinterest List being a Blackhawks fan taking a photo in front of Jobing.com Arena?
7. CALGARY FLAMES
That’s right… not one Calgary Flames fan posted anything on Pinterest with the hashtag “Is It October Yet?” I think there are two explanations for this…
1) Calgary still doesn’t have the internet.
2) It’s generally mid-January when Calgary Flames fans are saying “Is It October Yet?”
Since the Calgary Flames are completely under-represented on the NHL’s Pinterest Account… I decided to pin an image that all Flames fans will find useful for the 2013-14 NHL Season:
Something to hide under all season long.
