Deep South Smile
The Los Angeles Kings played so well Saturday night against the Nashville Predators, that every one on the Kings team was all smiles. Even Coach Murray was ear to ear after the Kings 3 goal flurry to start the game.
And also after the Kings 4th and 5th goals.
And even after Ryan Smyth scored his 2nd goal of the night to make it 6-1.
Kings 6, Predators 1
The player with the biggest smile Saturday in Nashville… well that’s easy.
This one’s for you, ladies.
People might say this was an “easy” game for Bernier. But he did make 29 saves once it was over and looked strong all night. Maybe all the Kings need him for is games against Nashville? And remember when this team couldn’t beat the Red Wings? Well, now they look to be on the same path with the Predators.
Captain Dustin Brown would be all smiles too… if he could figure out which hole in the jersey his head is supposed to go into.
Yes, that is the Captain of your Los Angeles Kings putting
his head into the sleeve on national (well, local) television.
Well, there was one guy who wasn’t smiling.
Hey, Anders Lindback, you ain’t a rookie phenom till you beat the Kings.
“Ryano! You have 11 goals. My number is 11!”
“That’s right, Kopi. Really cool.”
“And your age is 94!!”
Wipe that grin off your face… the Kings head to Chicago today to face a team that is missing 2 of its better players, Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane. Ugh, I think we all know what happened the last time the Kings faced a team missing their best players. Check out Blackhawks Down Low for all your reigning Stanley Cup Champion news and notes.
