TRH Recap 31: Blue Christmas
I wish there was someway to visually represent what it feels like to be an 8-year-old female fan of the Los Angeles Kings right now.
I know how you feel little girl… I know exactly how you feel.
THE WORST TEAM IN PROFESSIONAL HOCKEY 1, LA KINGS 2
Alright now that’s more like it! Thursday night in Columbus the Los Angeles Kings went out there and barely beat the worst team in professional hockey by mounting a 2 goal, 3rd period comeback. And they even scored their 1st goal in over 2 hours, 10 minutes and 35 seconds of game play! And what a beauty it was!
Wow… I mean, now that is a goal scored by a team that is playing with total confidence right now!
With his 1st goal of the season, Davis Drewiske now only trails Drew Doughty and Dustin Penner by 1 goal.
“Hey Scuds… pretty nice goal, huh? Coach Murray never realized what an offensive force I was.”
“What’s your name again, kid?”
With 2 goals in 2 games since Terry Murray was fired… the Kings players are trying every superstition in the book to regain their scoring touch.
Dustin Penner has sworn not to shower or groom himself until the Kings score 3 goals in a game.
With his 1st victory as the Los Angeles Kings Head Coach (Interim Division), John Stevens is already started to earn his admirers amongst Kings fans.
I had no idea that Kirsten Dunst was such a big Kings fan.
If you think it’s awful being a LA Kings fan right now, just be glad you aren’t a Blue Jackets fan. The Blue Jackets have made the playoffs once in 11 seasons in the NHL. And if that isn’t bad enough, their leader scorer is the bad guy from the original Karate Kid movie.
Vinny Prospal thinks that you are all right, Penner. Great match!
How bad is it in Columbus right now?
The team has little to celebrate in terms of winning…
so they just sell generic “Banners” in the team gift shop.
Apparently, the Blue Jackets have a new option where
they will put Season Ticket Holders out of their misery quickly.
This was a downright ugly hockey game. Neither team deserved to win… let alone score a goal. But when the Los Angeles Kings are struggling, they’ll take anything they can get. At least until this guy comes back.
I understand that Fox Sports West has to sell rights to everything these days…
But really? An injury update brought to you by Infiniti? That just seems cruel.
The Kings have been really careful about the wording when it comes to Mike Richards joining the team in Detroit. He’s joining the team on the road trip… but not necessarily playing. But I think I know why.
Presenting the newest Player/Coach of the Los Angeles Kings.
Do it, Deano.
