Pundays: Santa Closed

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! But for some people, the holidays can bring on a horrible depression that sends them into a spiral of malaise. So even though you should be happy that hockey is back after a 2 day Holiday Vacation… I’m starting to worry about the Holiday mental state of the Pun Headline Writers at NHL.com.

Most. Depressing. Pun Headline. Ever.

Click here to check out the best and worst NHL.com pun headlines from the past week!!!

This Holiday Season, the fans of the Philadelphia Flyers got the greatest gift ever… well, the greatest gift besides their goalie being featured on 24/7 each week

FACT: Claude Giroux is more popular in Philly than Santa Claus. Or Jesus.

The fans of the Ottawa Senators received some awesome retro-gaming action under their trees…

Maybe Paul MacLean shouldn’t start every player video session with ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A START.

The fans of the New York Rangers were told where they could buy all their holiday gifts…

Henrik Lundqvist wouldn’t be caught dead shopping on 5th Ave.

And the fans of the Los Angeles Kings looked in their stockings for goals and instead found this…

Now that Christmas and Hanukkah are out of the way… the Pun Headline Writers at NHL.com can start thinking about their New Years Resolutions. And I have a couple of suggestions for things that they should give up in the New Year…

Any Pun Headline involving the Canadiens, Bruins or Penguins.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving… PLAYER-NAME-PUN-HEADLINES!!!

With the way Ryan Miller is playing this year, Drew is winning the Pun Headline race with his brother.

It’s funny cause he has a girls name.

Finally! A chance to post my favorite Kids in the Hall skit of all-time.

Each time I glance at this… why do I always see “Wizard of Nads“?

This would be the name of Ryan Clowe’s legal drama on CBS.

Because an English stage and film actor that died in 1967 really resonates with today’s NHL fan.

And this weeks winner of the “Punday of the Week, Nose Face Killah Edition…”

The Bruins gave the world the Greatest Hanukkah Gift of All.
